Senior Project Manager

Arctik is looking for an experienced project manager with experience in multi-partner communication projects. The successful candidate will manage a variety of contracts for European clients, chief among those will be a flagship Horizon 2020 project on Open Science. 

 

MAIN TASKS

As a project manager at Arctik, you would be responsible for project planning and delivery. This would include:

  • Managing a team of consultants 
  • Coordinating with a diverse group of consortium partners
  • Ensuring the timely completion of deliverables
  • Providing quality control for the work of your own team as well as deliverable by other project partners 
  • Drafting strategies for online campaigns and developing concepts for impactful events for different stakeholder groups
  • Reporting on the progress of your tasks

You would lead your team in: 

  • Organising stakeholder engagement and public relation activities
  • Draft messages for different media and audiences (articles, interviews, blogs, press releases…)
  • Implementing and monitoring social media campaigns

As a senior member of Arctik’s team, you would also contribute to proposal writing and business development. You would train junior colleagues and help build team capacities.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS

The following qualities will contribute to your success in this role:

  • Excellent project management skills, ideally with experience working on Horizon research projects or multi-partner projects
  • Strategic insight into communication and outreach activities, with a particular focus on digital communication
  • A good understanding of the European research context (familiarity with the EU’s Open Science policy or digital policy is an asset)
  • An interest in emerging technologies 
  • Experience in collaborating with technical experts
  • Demonstrable expertise in quality control, particularly for editorial and audio-visual deliverables
  • A solid grounding in science communication 
  • Experience in orchestrating partnerships and outreach efforts 
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and partners across Europe
  • An excellent command of English (fluency in other European languages is an asset)
  • A team-player mindset
  • A can-do and self-motivated attitude
  • A master’s degree 
  • European spirit and a sense of humour!
