Arctik launches a new campaign for the #20yearsEMAS

Friday 13 November marked the 20th anniversary of the European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme. Around 200 industry delegates headed to the EMAS High-Level Conference in Frankfurt to praise the achievements of the world’s premium environmental management instrument. Arctik contributed to the organisation of the conference and has designed a new communication campaign to further promote the scheme.

EMAS was initiated 20 years ago to provide public authorities and private organisations with a proactive approach to tackle environmental challenges in-house with transparent, reliable and validated reporting.

From its very beginning, EMAS attracted small and large organisations from a range of sectors (Bombardier, Viessman, HiPP…). Today, EMAS is a trusted and growing scheme with 4,500 organisations and 12,000 registered sites.

Together with the European Commission DG Environment, Arctik developed a new campaign to celebrate #EMASperformers ’ commitment towards environmental management. The campaign uses their reputation to raise awareness on EMAS. Through an interactive infographic page, web visitors are invited to discover #EMASperformers, access their profiles and read about their environmental performance.

Along with the campaign, Arctik has prepared a social media strategy on behalf of DG Environment. #EMASperformers will be celebrated in 2015 and 2016. So stay tuned on @EMAS_EUEcolabel and learn about these performers!
